Updated Sterilization and Cleaning Standards

Cleaning & Sterilization

  • Prior to our reopening, our HVAC was cleaned and we have installed MER hospital grade filters. The studio was deep cleaned and sterilized by hospital grade cleaner to a professional standard.

  • All staff, students and any parent entering the studio will have their temperature checked and recorded.

  • Anyone with a temperature of 99.6 or greater will not be permitted into the studio.

  • Hand sanitizing stations have been put in each classroom and waiting area.

  • Students must sanitize their hands upon entering the classroom, after doing any floor work, after changing their shoes, and at the end of each class.

  • Teachers are required to follow the same sanitation rules.

  • Time will be allocated in between every class for cleaning and disinfecting of studios, waiting area, hallways and restrooms.

  • A plexiglass divider has been installed at our front desk, should you need to come in to make a payment.

Classroom Operating Procedures

  • Classroom capacity will be limited to a maximum limit of 15 students in our largest classroom, 11 in our medium size room and 6 students in our small classroom. Our 4th room will be used for solo rehearsal or virtual streaming only.

  • Dancer’s MUST come dressed for class, they are currently not permitted to change on the premises.

  • Classroom start times will be staggered. There will be limited cross contact with students from other classes throughout the day.

  • Hooks for dance bags are marked 6 ft apart and those are the only hooks permitted for use by students in our small and medium size classrooms. They will be sanitized between classes.

  • 6 foot boxes have been outlined in each classroom to keep the students socially distant.

  • Dance shoes are only permitted to be used on studio floors. If a child is practicing at home, please have them use another pair of shoes.

  • Designated floor spots for dancer’s belongings are located for use in our largest classroom. These will be sanitized between classes as well.

Virtual Instruction Options

  • For those families that are apprehensive about returning to in-person classes, we are pleased to offer two virtual class options.

  • Option 1: You will be able to sign in to a regularly scheduled in-person class and participate each week simultaneously with those in class. Regular tuition applies. If at any point the student wishes to join the class in person, capacity in the classroom must still meet current social-distancing guidelines. If the class is filled, we will be happy to find you a class with empty squares.

  • Option 2: Virtual Only Class – This is a completely virtual class taught on zoom by an instructor in an empty classroom. The same tuition rates apply. Virtual only classes MUST have a minimum of 5 dancers registered for the class in order for the class to run. We will aim to allow our virtual only students to participate in the year-end recital if they wish. A virtual student may also switch to an in-person class pending on current availability and social distancing guidelines.
